Pre-Employment | Checklist
You must review and complete all the tasks listed below prior to your IT onboarding session. This checklist is designed to guide you through each step of the process, ensuring that your experience is as smooth and efficient as possible. Additionally, it serves as a resource to address any questions or concerns you might have along the way.
Review & Training
- Review Pre-Employment training articles in the portal to prepare:
Apple MacBook
- Expect to receive a MacBook via FedEx by default. Be on the lookout for a tracking link that will be sent to your personal email. An adult (21+) with a government ID must sign for the package.
- To hold a package at FedEx, call 1 (800) 463-3339 with your tracking number. You must coordinate and pick up the package yourself.
- A welcome packet with essential documents, guidelines, and tips will be included with the MacBook.
- Unpack and fully charge the MacBook before your IT onboarding session.
- The password to your MacBook will be provided during your IT onboarding session. Please refrain from attempting to sign in beforehand to prevent locking it.
Logitech Mouse
- Expect to receive a mouse via Amazon by default. A signature is not required for delivery; plan to receive the package accordingly.
Personal Device
- Have your personal device ready and fully prepared for your IT onboarding session, as it will be required throughout the process. Ensure that your personal device is connected to a stable internet connection prior to the session to guarantee a seamless experience.
Home Wi-Fi Network
- Prepare to connect to the Wi-Fi network during your IT onboarding session.
- Identify the Wi-Fi network to which you will be connecting.
- Verify that the Wi-Fi network is functioning properly.
- Ensure that the Wi-Fi password is readily available.
Joining the Meeting
- Prepare to attend your IT onboarding session via Microsoft Teams using your personal device. Kindly await an invitation, which will be sent to your personal email a few days in advance. A personal internet-enabled device is required for the initial few minutes to sign into company devices.
Additional Hardware
- All other peripheral devices (monitor, keyboard, headset, adapter) will be discussed after you have completed the onboarding process.
- If you have not been provided with an iPhone and/or iPad, this generally indicates that your manager has not approved or submitted a request for one on your behalf due to the nature of your work role.
Profile Picture
-
For security and compliance purposes we require all employees to have a profile picture. Please have one ready for your onboarding day. This should be a headshot or cropped photo showing you from the shoulders up. This does not have to be a professionally taken photograph as it will be used for internal user verification only.
